About
IT Consultant Challenge 2026
The IT Consultant Challenge is a team-based competition where participants step into the role of IT Consultants to solve real business challenges through responsible digital solutions.
Following two successful seasons in 2024 and 2025, the challenge returns with a brand-new format and the theme "Prompt to Production." As AI continues to transform the way software is built, today's software developers need more than the ability to write code. They need to understand business needs, work effectively with AI, make informed technical decisions, and deliver solutions they can confidently stand behind.
In teams of three, participants will tackle a case study inspired by a real-life project. Throughout the competition, you'll experience the journey of an IT consultant - from understanding business problems and designing a solution to building a working product, adapting to changing requirements, and presenting your final delivery.

Quick answers to common questions before you and your teammates begin the challenge.
What are the competition rounds?
There are three knockout rounds: Idea Submission (19–26 October), MVP Build-a-thon (2–9 November), and Pitching (16–21 November). The Organiser will determine how many teams advance after each round based on participation and submission quality.
How many members are on a team?
Each team has 3 members who are students or young technology enthusiasts interested in software development and IT consulting.
Is the competition online or onsite?
Discover and Build take place online. The final is onsite at Netcompany Ho Chi Minh City for local teams and online for teams from other locations.
Can teams use AI tools?
Yes. AI should be used as a supporting tool. Teams must validate AI-generated content, assess product feasibility, and take responsibility for their entire submission; presentation slides should not be entirely AI-generated.
Are there technology-stack restrictions?
No. Teams can choose the language, framework and technologies that best suit their solution.
